Two Escape Injury in Two-Vehicle Collision in Corsica

CORSICA, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police report a two-vehicle collision occurred on SR-322 around 2:17 p.m. on September 12 in Corsica, Jefferson County.

According to police, the crash involved Justin B. Snyder, 19, of Summerville, driving a 2003 Dodge Neon, and Kelly R. Weckerly, 35, of Shippenville, driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Police say the collision occurred as both drivers were traveling east on SR 322 in Corsica Borough.

Snyder allegedly struck the rear of Weckerly’s vehicle after failing to see her stopped for traffic turning within the eastbound lane of travel.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and were uninjured in the collision.

Snyder was cited with a Following Too Closely violation, say police.

According to police, there was disabling damage to Snyder’s Neon and functional damage to Weckerly’s Trailblazer.
