Two Injured in Head-On Collision on Route 255

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.HUSTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to DuBois-based State Police, around 5:49 a.m. on May 2, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 255 (Bennetts Valley Highway), west of Drs. Lane, in Huston Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 67-year-old Robert G. Johnson, of DuBois, and 47-year-old Kelly L. Bliss, of Johnsonburg, were involved in the collision.

This crash occurred as a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Johnson, was traveling northbound on Route 255, attempting to negotiate a right curve in the roadway. The Chevrolet traveled across the double yellow line and into the path of a 2014 Nissan Altima, driven by Bliss, hitting the vehicle head-on. Both vehicles traveled off the west side of the roadway and came to a final rest in a ditch facing west, according to police.

Johnson suffered injuries of unknown severity.

Bliss suffered suspected minor injuries.

They were transported to Penn Highlands DuBois.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

The vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.

Pennfield VFD, Bennetts Valley Ambulance, Dusan Ambulance Service, and Bricen Towing assisted at the scene.
