Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 28

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.BROCKWAY BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – According to DuBois-based State Police, around 5:20 p.m. on July 18, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 28, on Main Street, at its intersection with 7th Avenue, in Brockway Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say 19-year-old Dylan J. Terwilliger, and 47-year-old Steven E. Sickeri, both of Brockway, were involved in the collision.

According to police, this crash occurred as a 2004 Ford Explorer – driven by Terwilliger – was traveling northbound on SR 28. A 2003 Buick Century – driven by Sickeri – was stopped in the northbound lane of SR 28 at its intersection with 7th Avenue, waiting for oncoming traffic before making a left turn onto 7th Avenue.

Terwilliger failed to see the Buick stopped in front of him, and his Ford Explorer rear-ended it, police say.

Both vehicles were safely pulled off the roadway, according to police.

Terwilliger was not injured.

Sickeri and a passenger in his vehicle, Christine L. Sickeri, of Brockway, suffered minor injuries in the collision, police say.

Brockway Ambulance transported them to Penn Highlands DUBois ER, according to police.

All occupants were using seat belts.

Terwilliger was charged with a traffic violation, police say.

Sickeri was charged with a Registration and Certificate of Title violation, police say.

Brockway Fire Department, Brockway Ambulance, Bailey’s Towing, Zimmerman Towing, and Brockway Police assisted at the scene.
