Two People Injured in Rollover Crash on Route 28

WARSAW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say two area individuals were injured in a crash that happened on State Route 28 last week.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the accident happened around 4:58 p.m. on January 13, on State Route 28 just west of Quinn Road, in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 19-year-old Brianna M. Thomas, of Brockport, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado traveling north on State Route 28 and traveling too fast for the road conditions when she lost control of it, and the vehicle slid off the east side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned onto its passenger side.

Thomas was using a seat belt but her passenger, identified as 67-year-old Robert W. Buddenbohn, of Brockport, was not.

Buddenbohn suffered injuries of unknown severity and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by Jefferson County EMS.

Thomas suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by Brockway Area Ambulance Service.

The vehicle sustained functional damage.

Thomas was cited for a speed violation.
