Two People Seriously Injured in Route 286 Collision

GLEN CAMPBELL BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say two people were seriously injured in a collision that occurred on Saturday evening on State Route 286 in Glen Campbell Borough.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the accident happened around 5:39 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, on State Route 286, at its intersection with 1st Avenue, in Glen Campbell Borough, Indiana County.

Police say 62-year-old Edward Miloser, of Glen Campbell, was operating a 2008 Buick LaCrosse attempting to turn from 1st Avenue onto State Route 286 when he failed to yield for oncoming traffic. His vehicle was then struck by a 2008 Toyota Camry operated by 20-year-old Elizabeth M. Parkhurst, of Mahaffey.

Both drivers and a passenger in Miloser’s vehicle, identified as 60-year-old Diane L. Miloser, of Glen Campbell, were using seat belts.

Parkhurst and Diane Miloser both suffered suspected serious injuries.

Parkhurst was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital by Veterans Memorial Ambulance Service and later transferred to Altoona Hospital.

Diane Miloser was transported to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center by LifeFlight.

Edward Miloser suffered no known injuries.

Glen Campbell Volunteer Fire Department and Citizens Ambulance Service also assisted at the scene.

Edward Miloser was cited for a stop sign violation.
