Car Slams into Truck on Route 36; Two Teens Injured

CRASHBELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Cloe Rossiter Road, at its intersection with State Route 36, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, a 17-year-old female, of Norristown, and 41-year-old Bryan T. Wolfe, of Punxsutawney, were involved in the collision.

Police say the teenager was traveling on Cloe Rossiter Road in a 2004 Suzuki Forenza and failed to stop at its intersection with SR 36.

Her vehicle impacted the front passenger side of a 2008 International Harvester Truck driven by Wolfe.

After impact, both vehicles traveled off the roadway in a grassy/stone area at the southeastern quadrant of the intersection.

According to police, the teen failed to stop at the intersection due to an absent stop sign that was not property posted.

The teen suffered moderate injuries.

A passenger in the teen’s vehicle, 19-year-old Anastasia K. Bates of Crewe, United Kingdom, suffered minor injuries.

Both teens were transported to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

Wolfe was using a seat belt and was not injured.

Punxsutawney Fire Companies, Jefferson County Ambulance Company, and Stat Medivac assisted at the scene.
