Two-Vehicle Collision in Falls Creek Borough

Police car lightsFALLS CREEK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a two-vehicle collision occurred on Main Street, at its intersection with North Main Street, in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County.

According to police, 32-year-old Thurston L. Mooney and 59-year-old Bryon L. Harry, both of Falls Creek, were involved in the crash.

Police say a 2000 Ford F150, driven by Mooney, was following behind a 2008 Chevrolet 1500, driven by Harry. The Chevrolet slowed to turn off Main Street into a driveway.

Mooney failed to slow his Ford F150 for the Chevrolet and swerved off the north side of the roadway, striking a utility pole, a mailbox, and then the Chevrolet.

Both drivers and a passenger in Mooney’s vehicle – 26-year-old Chelsea R. Chestnut, of Brookville, escaped injuries.

All occupants were using seat belts.

Mooney was charged with a traffic violation.
