Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 119 in Sykesville

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225SYKESVILLE BORO, Pa. (EYT) – Dubois-based State Police say around 3:58 p.m. on January 13, a two-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of Sykes Street and East Main Street, in Sykesville Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say, 24-year-old Robert J. Spencer, of Sykesville, and 62-year-old Janice J. Crawford, of Anita, were involved in the collision.

According to police, a 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by Spencer, was traveling southbound on Sykes Street. A second vehicle, a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Crawford, was traveling northbound on East Main Street.

Police say the Monte Carlo crashed into the Chevrolet Malibu.

Spencer was using a seat belt and was not injured.

Crawford and her passenger, Brian P. Crawford, 38, of Punxsutawney, were also wearing seat belts and were uninjured in the crash.

Spencer was cited with a traffic violation.
