Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 36, Rose Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Yesterday a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 36, at its intersection with Pansy Road, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, 53-year-old John R. Lundblad, of Mayport, and 46-year-old Frederick N. Hergert, of Punxsutawney, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 1:09 p.m. on October 25, a 2010 Chevrolet HHR, driven by Lundblad, was stopped on Pansy-Ringgold Road, and Hergert’s 2010 Ford F-150 was traveling south on State Route 36.

The Chevrolet turned left into the path of the Ford. The Chevrolet’s right front bumper fender area struck the right rear side of the Ford, according to police.

The Chevrolet traveled 36 feet from impact, coming to rest in the southbound lane facing northeast, police say.

The Ford came to a controlled stop approximately 345 feet south of the impact, facing south.

Both drivers were using seat belts and were not injured, according to police.
