Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 28, One Person Injured

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 1:52 p.m. on January 11, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 28, at its intersection with Jefferson Manor, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, a 16-year-old Brookville male and 41-year-old Jacqueline McCann, of Albany, NY, were involved in the collision.

Police say McCann was traveling north on SR 28 in a 2009 Nissan Maxima and was stopped, attempting to make a left hand turn into Jefferson Manor Health Center.

The teen was also traveling north and failed to witness McCann turning left. His 2003 Chevrolet S10 struck the Nissan’s driver’s side rear.

McCann was using a seat belt; she suffered injuries of unknown severity.

Jefferson County EMS transported her to Brookville Area Hospital.

The 16-year-old was also using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Jefferson County EMS; Pine Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department; and McPherson’s Towing assisted at the scene.
