Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 322, Both Drivers Escape Injuries

UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 9:00 a.m. on October 17, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 322, east of Roseville-Sigel Road, in Union Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 18-year-old Joshua M. Romo, of Corsica, and 61-year-old Marianne D. Reynolds, of Summerville, were involved in the collision.

Police say Romo was traveling east on SR 322 in a 1997 Honda Civic and failed to realize that a 2005 Ford 500, operated by Reynolds, was stopped in the eastbound lane waiting for another vehicle to exit the highway.

As a result, the Honda Civic was unable to get stopped and struck the Ford in the rear end.

Both drivers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Romo will be charged with a traffic violation, with the citation being filed at the office of 54-3-03.
