Two-Vehicle Crash on I-80 Leaves Several Injured; Road Closed

1812d1140135579-stat-medevac-stat1[1]CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A two-vehicle accident that occurred early this morning in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 at mile marker 69.7 in Clarion Township has left several people injured and the highway closed.

According to Clarion-based State Police, a Stat MedEvac helicopter has been called to the scene for the accident that happened around 7:35 a.m. on Sunday.

Traffic is being detoured at Exit 64, then to Greenville Pike north into Clarion, then Route 322 East to Exit 70. Traffic is also being rerouted to Route 28 to New Bethlehem and north to Brookville, police say.

Local fire departments and PennDOT assisted with traffic control.

The names of the occupants involved was not provided.
