UPDATE: 288 Charges Filed Against Suspect in Three-County High Speed Chase

McIntyre-mugLICKING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Additional charges have been filed against a Rimersburg man in connection with a three-county high speed chase on May 7.

As first reported by exploreClarion.com, police say sometime between 11:55 a.m. and 12:07 p.m. on May 7, 20-year-old Raymond McIntyre, of Rimersburg, allegedly drove a vehicle to a residence on Craig Road, in Parker, where a 20-year-old Parker woman was staying. The woman has a valid PFA (Protection From Abuse) against him.

McIntyre allegedly fled the scene prior to police’s arrival, according to police.

While Trooper Mesing was traveling on Craig Road towards the victim’s residence, a silver PT Cruiser allegedly being operated by McIntyre drove past her at a high rate of speed, police say.

Trooper Mesing turned around and attempted to stop McIntyre’s vehicle, and he allegedly fled the area, according to police.

McIntyre was allegedly pursued for several miles until Trooper Mesing lost sight of him, and the pursuit was terminated, police say.

McIntyre was apprehended approximately one hour later in Clintonville following a second high speed pursuit through Clarion, Butler, and Venango Counties, according to police.

McIntyre was out on bail at the time of the chase. His bail was revoked, and he was lodged in the Clarion County Jail, police say.

He faces a total of 288 charges in the incident, including 2 felonies, 13 misdemeanors, and 273 summary offenses.

The following charges were filed against McIntyre on May 7, 2015, at Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller’s Office:

– Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer, Felony 3
– Int Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor (3 counts)
– Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (5 counts)
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor (2 counts)
– 219 Summary Traffic Offenses

The following charges were filed against McIntyre on May 12, 2015, also at Judge Miller’s Office:

– Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer, Felony 3
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Misdemeanor 2 (3 counts)
– 54 Summary Traffic Offenses

McIntyre faces a preliminary hearing on May 19.
