UPDATE: Interstate 80 Reopens Following Pile-Up; Multiple Injuries Reported

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Interstate 80 West near Brookville has reopened in Jefferson County following a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday.

According to Jefferson County 911, the accident happened around 3:24 p.m. between Interstate 80, Exit 81, PA 28 Hazen and Exit 78 PA 36 Brookville/Sigel.

Extreme delays were reported as crews worked throughout the evening to remove a truck from the bridge, according to a representative of DuBois-based State Police.

Sources say several injuries were reported, and multiple people were transported to nearby hospitals.
