UPDATE: Jefferson County Man Arrested for Stealing Over $60,000 in Materials from Employer

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Police have arrested a Punxsutawney man for stealing products from his workplace and selling them for scrap.

According to police, 32-year-old Jacob Anthony Clemento, of Punxsutawney, was arrested for stealing from FEMCO Machine Co. on South Main Street Ext., in Punxsutawney, Young Township.

Police say Clemento has reportedly deprived FEMCO of an estimated $60,000.00 in materials between August 7, 2013, and April 10, 2014.

He was charged with the following offenses:

– one count of Theft by Deception, felony 3
– one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition, felony 3
– one count of Receiving Stolen Property, felony 3

He was arraigned before Judge Douglas Chambers who established bail at $75,000.00.

Clemento posted bail and is free pending a preliminary hearing which will be scheduled in the near future, according to police.
