OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Oil City Police say Seneca Street has reopened to traffic.

Officials say flooding has stopped in Oil City and Seneca Street was opened to traffic around 9:00 a.m.; however, according to Oil City Police, Justus Park remains closed.
On Friday night Oil Creek hit flood stage resulting in flooding.
Subsequently, Oil City police closed Seneca Street from Duncomb Street to White Bridge, and traffic was rerouted to the Route 8 bypass.
Sources say Seneca Street businesses were evacuated, and residents were also told to evacuate the area.
Some businesses were still boarded up as of 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
EMA reported there was no ice movement yesterday at mouth of where Oil Creek and the Allegheny River meet, according to the sheriff deputy.
