UPDATE: Serious Injuries Reported in I-80 Crash; Multiple Medical Helicopters Dispatched

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 eastbound Saturday afternoon in Clarion Township, Clarion County.

Sources say the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 68 and resulted in ejection and multiple injuries.

It’s unclear at this point how many people were injured in the crash; however, sources say multiple medical helicopters were dispatched to the scene.

Clarion-based State Police remained on the scene as of 3:30 p.m. as they continued to conduct their investigation.

A spokesperson at the Clarion-based State Police barracks says a press release is expected to be released within the next 24 hours.

Clarion Fire & Hose Co. No. 1, Corsica VFD, Brookville Fire Company, and Clarion Hospital EMS were among the responding agencies.

Specific details on the crash have not yet been released.
