Varacallo Throws Out First Pitch at Curve Game

CURVE, Pa. (EYT) – Last week, DuBois native Albert Varacallo had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at an Altoona Curve home game.

Varacallo, who founded the DuBois Dream, a team in the TBT, found out that the Curve had been following the team’s run and had been wanting to team up.

“I knew my cousin was having her Relay for Life Team in that day (at the Curve) and she reached out to partner with them,” Varacallo said. “It just kind of came together.”

Varacallo’s toss came Sunday, Aug. 13.
