Vega Taken into Custody on Active Warrant, Now Faces Drug Paraphernalia Charge

Legal-scales-books-gavel-Image-1024x681[1]PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A Punxsutawny woman is facing additional drug charges following an incident that occurred on January 7 in Punxsutawney, Jefferson County.

Punxsutawney Borough Police were dispatched to the back parking lot of the Punxsutawney Community Center to assist a Constable in apprehending Ashley Vega, of Punxsutawney, who had an active warrant for her arrest.

Police say after Vega was taken into custody, “she was found to be in possession of syringes and aluminum foil used for preparing meth to be inhaled, injected, or ingested into the human body.”

A criminal complaint was filed against Vega for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
