Vehicle Collides with Fallen Tree in Pike Township

PIKE TWP, Pa. (EYT) – A vehicle collided with a tree that had fallen onto the roadway in Pike Township on Thursday afternoon. 

According to DuBois-based State Police, the incident occurred around 1:18 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, on Greenville Pike, in Pike Township, Clearfield County.

Police say a 2010 Subaru Forester was traveling south on Greenville Pike when a tree fell across the southbound lane. Due to northbound traffic, the vehicle was unable to avoid the tree which impacted the car’s front end.

The vehicle sustained minor damage to the windshield and right mirror.

The operator was not injured and was using a seat belt.

His name was not released.

The vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.
