Vehicle Crashes into Utility Pole off Route 36, Driver Injured

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 11:50 a.m. on October 14, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 36, at its intersection with Rikers Road, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 74-year-old William P. Wolfe, of Punxsutawney, was traveling south on SR 36, and his 2013 Ford F150 pickup left the roadway, then struck a mailbox and a utility pole along the southbound berm of the road.

The pickup came to a rest facing south along the southbound berm, police say.

Wolfe was using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

Punxsutawney Ambulance transported him to Punxsutawney Hospital.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
