Vehicle Impacts Ditch, Rolls Multiple Times in Bell Township Crash

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police report a one-vehicle crash occurred on October 6 around 4:36 p.m. on SR-219 in Bell Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, the crash occurred as John M. Tuskey Jr., 23, of Cherry Tree, was traveling north on SR-219 in a 2012 Honda Civic SI.

Tuskey allegedly failed to negotiate a left hand curve on the wet roadway and lost control of his vehicle, according to police.

The Civic traveled across the southbound lane of travel, off of the west berm, and impacted a ditch located 15 feet off of the roadway, according to police.

Police say Tuskey’s vehicle overturned multiple times after impacting the ditch – coming to a final rest on its roof, facing east in the northbound travel lane of SR-219.

Tuskey was wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. He was treated at the scene by Mahaffey EMS.

The Honda Civic was towed from the scene by Smitty’s Towing.

Tuskey was cited with a traffic violation.

Punxsutawney PSP was assisted at the scene by the Mahaffey VFD.
