Vehicle Lands on Driver in Fatal Indiana County Crash

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. According to WTAJ, a 37-year-old New Florence man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Monday, August 11 in East Wheatfield Township, Indiana County.

William Hunt, of New Florence, Pa. was operating a 1997 Toyota Four Runner on Hutchison Hollow Road, when he reportedly hit a tree stump and went airborne.

Police say the car proceeded to hit multiple trees, ejecting Hunt from the car.

The vehicle eventually came to a rest after flipping onto the passenger side, landing on Hunt. He was pinned under the vehicle until emergency responders arrived at the scene.

Hunt was pronounced dead at the scene.

Results from toxicology tests are pending.

Hunt was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash.
