Vehicle Rolls Over in Young Township; Driver Escapes Injury

YOUNG TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Punsutawney man escaped injury when his vehicle rolled over on Walston Road early Sunday morning.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the crash occurred around 3:32 a.m. on Sunday, September 13, on Walston Road just north of Sycamore Street in Young Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 30-year-old David K. Blose, of Punxsutawney, was operating a 2003 Honda CRV, traveling on Walston Road when he swerved to miss a deer and drove off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle subsequently overturned onto its roof.

Blose was not injured; he was not using a seat belt.

He was cited for a speed violation.

Punxsutawney Fire Department and Rebuck’s Towing also assisted at the scene.
