Vehicle Slams into Guide Rail End on I-80 in Union Township

UNION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police have released the details of a crash where a vehicle slammed into a guide rail end along Interstate 80 westbound in Union Township.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the crash happened around 3:42 p.m. on October 19 on Interstate 80 westbound near Roseville Sigel Road.

Police say 20-year-old Luc Doolittle, of Clarington, was operating a 2007 Subaru Legacy traveling east in the left lane on Interstate 80 when he swerved, lost control of the vehicle, and struck a guide rail end of the left side of the roadway. Doolittle was subsequently able to safely move the vehicle from the left shoulder to the right shoulder.

Doolittle was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

He was cited for a traffic violation.
