According to Franklin-based State Police, around 9:39 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 24-year-old Matthew G. Cole, of Reynoldsville, was traveling in a 2015 Volkswagen Golf on Log Cemetery Road, east of Barkey Hoffman Road, in Irwin Township.
The vehicle slid off the roadway due to road conditions and struck a tree where it came to a final rest.
Cole was using a seat belt and was not injured.
