Vehicle Slams into Utility Pole in Winslow Township; Local Teen Escapes Injuries

WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a teen driver lost control of his vehicle, and it slammed into a utility pole in Winslow Township on Thursday morning.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the accident happened around 9:09 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, on Wayne Road, just west of Church Street, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 18-year-old Tyler L. Reynolds, of Reynoldsville, was operating a 2006 Buick Lucerne, traveling east of Wayne Road, when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway, went onto the east berm, and struck a utility pole.

Reynolds was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

Jewell’s Towing also assisted at the scene.

Reynolds was cited for a speed violation.
