According to police, 37-year-old Eric M. Lunger, and 59-year-old Wayne Barraclough, Jr., both of Brockway, were involved in the collision.
Police say around 4:43 p.m. on January 12, Lunger was traveling northbound on Arch Road “at a speed that was beyond reasonable and prudent for the snowy roadway conditions that existed. (Thus), he failed to negotiate a downhill right turn.”
Lunger’s 2012 Chrysler Town and Country slid across the double yellow lines, impacting a 2010 Bluebird, Brockway Area School Bus, driven by Barraclough. according to police.
The Chrysler side-swiped the school bus on its left side and came to a final rest in the center of the roadway facing north, blocking both lanes, police say.
The school bus came to a final rest on the southbound shoulder facing south.
Brockway Ambulance transported Lunger to Penn Highlands Healthcare DuBois for treatment of minor injuries.
He was using a seat belt.
The Brockway Area School bus was transporting 38 students and no injuries were reported, according to police.
Lunger was charged with a traffic violation.
Brockway Area Schools, Brockway Volunteer Hose Company, Brockway Ambulance, and PennDOT assisted at the scene.
