Venus Man Escapes Injury in Rollover Crash in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A Venus man escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident on Fuller Road in Knox Township, Jefferson County.

Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 12:15 p.m. on January 28, Matthew P. Baumcratz, 34, of Venus was traveling too fast for road conditions, and as negotiating an uphill right curve, lost control of his 2008 Ford pickup.

Police say the pickup barrel-rolled over an embankment two times and then impacted a tree with the pickup’s roof.

Baumcratz was using a seat belt and was not injured.
