Verna E. Hileman

Verna E. Hileman, 91, of 346 S. 13th St., Reynoldsville, died Sunday morning, June 28, 2015, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born June 24, 1924, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Bertha Brown Rosenberger.

In 1947, she was married to Clarence R. Hileman. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1975.

Verna had worked at the Schenley Distillery of Logansport, served as a nanny for the Klukan family of Ford City and retired as a waitress for The Sandwich Shop of Kittanning. She had also managed the Ford City Golf Course.

She was Protestant by faith.

Verna was a member of the Kittanning Moose Lodge and Ford City Eagles Lodge.

She is survived by three sons, James Rosenberger (Susan) of Belmont, N.Y., Ronald Hileman (Marian) of Green River, Wyo., Dee Hileman (Kim) of Dayton; one daughter, Donna Weckerly (George) of Kittanning; a daughter-in-law, Debra Hileman of Reynoldsville; 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, Lynford, Clair and Gary Hileman; three daughters, Kathy Sinclair, Mary Young and Lillian Watterson; one grandson, Gary Hileman; two granddaughters, Barbie Hileman and Jammi Toy; and one great-grandson, Justin Boyer.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven J. Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
