Screen Shot 2016-05-30 at 12.11.05 PMJEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – We all have might different ways of remembering the men and women who sacrificed their lives for the United States and fell that we might rise on Memorial Day.

One of those tributes for one war, the Vietnam Memorial Wall, gives a chance to reflect on individual sacrifices with a listing of all who died. Another alternative to visiting Washington, D.C., to view the wall is the Vietnam Virtual Wall of Faces.

Names and photos of these brave men and women are on display at http://www.vvmf.org/wall-of-faces. The website includes a search area at the top of the page. Each listing also includes a date of birth, date of casualty, home of record, branch of service, rank, and panel and row numbers on the Washington D.C. memorial.

In an effort to preserve the legacy of those who sacrificed all in Vietnam, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is also working with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Washington, D.C., to find a photo for each of the Pennsylvanians whose name is listed on the Wall of Faces through the generosity of those willing to help locate their photos. This program will ensure that Vietnam Veterans from Pennsylvania will be remembered and honored by visitors from around the globe for generations to come.

A listing of soldiers who died in Vietnam from Clarion, Forest, Jefferson, and Venango Counties follows. To see their individual listing on the Wall of Faces, use their name in the search window at the top of the page. Due to the way deaths were recorded, some individuals may have been listed in neighboring counties.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall) are in no way connected to the National Vietnam Veterans Foundation.

VVMF is the nonprofit organization that founded the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall) in Washington, D.C. Our continuing mission is to honor and preserve the legacy of those who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War and educate all generations about the impact of the Vietnam era.
