Violet W. Wolfe

Violet W. Wolfe, 86, of Distant, died early Thursday morning, November 5, 2015 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Born April 12, 1929 in Widnoon, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Edith (Unger) White. She was married on November 28, 1998 to Roland John Wolfe and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2004.

She was employed as a seamstress at Big River Manufacturing in Kittanning. She also worked for Mateer Funeral Home in New Bethlehem. She was a member of the Kellersburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Alice Schultz of Templeton and Charlotte Toy of Worthington, nieces and nephews, LaVonne Henderson of Templeton, Wesley Schultz of Worthington, Ralph Schultz of Templeton, David Schultz of Deanville and Wayne Mauthe Toy of Dubois, one great niece and four great nephews, and two great great nieces and five great great nephews

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Winifred White and Bessie White. Friends will be received Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joni Williams officiating.

Interment will be in the Kellersburg Methodist Cemetery.
