Virginia L. “Ginny” Sandrock

ginnyVirginia L. “Ginny” Sandrock, 77, of Venus, passed away on December 7, 2015 at her home.

She was born on December 22, 1937 in Brookville; the daughter of the former Lee H. Fuller and Edith Fuller Klaser.

Virginia was married to Harold “Mike” Sandrock on October 23, 1959, and he survives.

She was a certified nurse’s AID and first worked for the former Allegheny Manor in Shippenville, the Clarion Hospital, Ginny also waitressed at different restaurants throughout Clarion Area, most people remember her from Rhea’s Corner Restaurant in Shippenville.

Ginny was a member of the United Evangelical Church in Venus.

She enjoyed square dancing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ginny is survived by her husband, two daughters, Tanya Rennard of Shippenville and her friend Tom Burns and Brenda McKinney and husband David of Venus, one son, Michael Sandrock and wife Suzanne of Clintonville, three grandchildren, Amy Jo Smith and husband Steve of New York, Jessica Woodard and husband Tony of Shippenville, Tyler McKinney of Venus, four great grandchildren, Taylor, Christopher, and  Jackson Smith of New York, and Lydia “Angel” Woodard of Shippenville, one sister, Anna Belle Thompson of Rhode Island, one brother, Johnny Fuller and wife Peggy of Ohio, and one special niece, Darlene Hockman of Venus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a family friend, Jack Fowler.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the United Evangelical Church in Venus at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rick Kightlinger pastor as presider.

The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ginny’s name to the Cranberry Area Pantry, P.O. Box 446 Seneca, PA 16346.
