Walter Lukashevich

Walter Lukashevich, 92 of Reynoldsville, Pa, formerly of Meriden CT, passed away February 20, 2021, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, PA.

Born on August 2, 1928, in Meridan, CT, he was the son of the late Antony and Naida (Grusha) Lukashevich.

He was a graduate of Meriden High School and Wilcox Technical School and attended Hillyer College.

Walter was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War.

Walter married his love, Virginia Frazier on October 23, 1965. They spent 55 happy years together enjoying family, friends and traveling. Walter was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and he enjoyed the company of his many friends.

Walter was the owner of Silver City Coin Company in Meriden, CT. He was a member of many Numismatic Societies and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church Brotherhood in Meriden. Walter was a voracious reader and enjoyed studying history.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia and his beloved daughter, Kira (Christopher) Meholick; granddaughter, Marina Meholick and grandson, Nicholas Meholick; nephews, David Barrett, Dr. Paul J. Zbell, John G. Zbell, and niece Tamara Morton; and sister-in-law, Joan Zbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Lukashevich; and sister, Laura Butcka.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

The funeral service will be at Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church, 301 South State St. DuBois, PA, on Thursday, February 25th, 2021, at 10:00 AM with Fr. Mark Meholick officiating.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Meriden, CT.
