Walter R. Crissman

Walter R. Crissman, 89, of Mayport (Mudlic), died Monday afternoon, April 18, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born February 28, 1927, in Mudlic, the son of the late Russell and Grace (Atherton) Crissman. He was married on October 18, 1948 to Marie Martha (Frank) Crissman and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2009.

Walter served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He worked as a railroad conductor for the L.E.F & C. Railroad.
He is survived by a son, William Crissman and his wife Pam of Mayport, three daughters, Janet Yarger of Fairmount City, Nancy McCauley and her husband Jim of New Bethlehem, Tammy Conner of Sykesville, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law Nancy Crissman of Oak Ridge.

In addition to his parents, and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Crissman, a sister Caroline Wagner, and three brothers, Thomas Crissman, William Crissman, and Harold Crissman.

Friends will be received Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday April 23, with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating.

Interment will be in the Mudlic Cemetery, Redbank Twp. Armstrong County.
