Washington Leads Cincy Hoops Past Penn State

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Kyle Washington had 16 points and 17 rebounds, as No. 24/25 Cincinnati rolled past Penn State, 71-50, Sunday in the Consolation Game of the Hall of Fame Tip-off at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Three other Bearcats (3-1) reached double digits in scoring led by 14 points from Jacob Evans. Troy Caupain added 12 tallies and Tre Scott 10 off the bench.

Penn State (2-3) got a game-high 20 points from Shep Garner, while Tony Carr added 10 points and Mike Watkins a team-high 11 rebounds.

Cincinnati led 34-19 at halftime.
