Wayne Calvin Smith, age 64, of Summit Street in Brookville, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born on February 7, 1951, in Brookville, PA, to the late James and Faye (Wemmer) Smith.
On February 27, 1975, he married Teresa Smith in Brookville, PA; Teresa survives him.
Wayne served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked for the Department of Military, Veterans Affairs as a Maintenance Repairman. He was a former member of the Lions Club, a high school wrestling official for more than 25 years, an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and an active member in the Brookville Quaterback Club.
In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by 2 sons, Jeremy (Keith France) Smith, of Las Vegas, NV, and Matthew (Jessi Blazosky) Smith, of Brookville, PA; 2 grandchildren, Chase and Cash Smith; as well as many brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 129 Graham Ave., Brookville, PA, 15825, beginning at 10:00am; Father William Laska will be officiating the service.
There will be no public viewing. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rose Twp., Jefferson County. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA.
