The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Flood Watch for Jefferson County at 8:29 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018:

Allegheny River At CW Bill Young Dam affecting Allegheny County.
Clarion River At Cooksburg affecting Clarion…Forest and Jefferson Counties.
Conemaugh River At Seward affecting Indiana and Westmoreland Counties.
Ohio River At Pittsburgh affecting Allegheny County.
Ohio River At Pike Island affecting Belmont…Jefferson and Ohio Counties.
Ohio River At Wheeling affecting Belmont and Ohio Counties.
Ohio River At Moundsville affecting Marshall County.
Muskingum River At Coshocton affecting Coshocton County.
.Low pressure will track from the Midwest to the Upper Ohio Valley region through Sunday night, dragging a cold front across the area. Scattered rain showers are expected until heavier rain occurs with the passage of the cold front late Sunday and Sunday night.

SAFETY MESSAGE: A watch means that flooding is possible but not a certainty. Rainfall of 1.5 to 2.5 inches may cause flooding. Actual rainfall amounts and potential flooding will ultimately depend on the direction and speed of the storm. People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur, or a river flood warning be issued.

* At 8:00 PM Saturday the stage was 4.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
