BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Freezing Rain Advisory has been issued for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

The following advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 9:32 p.m.

FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 2 PM EST SATURDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

MERCER-VENANGO-FOREST-CLARION-JEFFERSON PA

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF…GROVE CITY…FRANKLIN…TIONESTA…CLARION…BROOKVILLE

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS…A TRACE TO FIVE HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH
* ICE BEGINNING…8 TO 10 AM
* PERIOD OF MOST INTENSE ICE…9 TO 11 AM
* ICE ENDING…AROUND 2 PM
* IMPACTS…DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO ICY
ROADS.

A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY MEANS THAT FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR ICY SURFACES AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
