WEATHER ALERT: Winter Storm Warning Remains in Effect for Jefferson County; Additional Six Inches of Snow Possible

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Jefferson County and surrounding areas. An additional six inches of snow is possible.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Urgent Winter Weather Message at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022:

Including the cities of Ligonier, Davis, Canaan Valley, Hendricks, Bruceton Mills, Terra Alta, Parsons, Brookville, Punxsutawney, Donegal, Champion, Kingwood, Rowlesburg, Ohiopyle, Coopers Rock, Saint George, Indiana, Hazelton, and Thomas

…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SUNDAY…

* WHAT…Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest, southwest, and western Pennsylvania. Portions of northern West Virginia.

* WHEN…Until 1 AM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions.
