WEATHER ALERT: Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Jefferson County

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Urgent Winter Weather Message at 4:29 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018:

Indiana, Murrysville, Greensburg, New Kensington, and Uniontown

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EDT THIS MORNING…

* WHAT…Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected.

* WHERE…Portions of southwest and west central Pennsylvania.

* WHEN…Until 10 AM EDT this morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
