WEATHER ALERT: Winter Weather Advisory Issued, Slippery Roads Expected for Area

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Urgent Winter Weather Message at 3:18 p.m. on Saturday, February 3:

Including the cities of Mountain Lake Park, Oakland MD, Grantsville, Oil City, Franklin, Tionesta, Clarion, Punxsutawney, Brookville, Indiana, Ligonier, Donegal, Champion, and Ohiopyle

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 10 PM EST SUNDAY…

* WHAT…Snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches expected.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest, southwest and west central Pennsylvania and western Maryland.

* WHEN…From 6 AM to 10 PM EST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
