MCCALMONT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 10:10 a.m. on January 9, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 310, near the intersection with Graffius Avenue, in McCalmont Township, Jefferson County.
According to police, Donald J. Delp, 58, of Falls Creek, Pa., was traveling north on Route 310 at the North Summit.
Upon entering a left curve, Delp lost control of his 1990 Peterbilt and began sliding in a counterclockwise manner. The vehicle then slid off the east side of the highway and impacted a traffic sign with the right front portion of the vehicle.
The vehicle then slid down an embankment and struck a utility pole with the left front wheel causing the vehicle to become disabled.
Delp was wearing a seatbelt and no injuries were reported.
Police say there will be no charges filed in this case due to the crash being contributed to severe road conditions.
