CURVE, Pa. – The wet weather over the weekend forced the postponement of the Altoona Curve home games with the Portland Sea Dogs Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday’s game was originally going to be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday, but that was washed out as well.
The teams will now play back-to-back doubleheaders in Portland Aug. 16 and Aug. 17. This was Portland’s only trip to Altoona this season.
The Star Wars Night promotion and Jar Jar Binks jerseys scheduled for Saturday, presented by Clarion Inn & Suites, will be made up on Saturday, June 4. The Rebel Legion base and the Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion will also be on hand that night. The night will also feature a fireworks show.
Makeup dates for Saturday and Sunday’s Fireworks shows will be announced at a late time.
Fans with tickets to Saturday’s or Sunday’s games can bring their ticket stub back to Peoples Natural Gas Field to be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value, based on availability, for any future 2016 Curve home game.
