Wheel Falls Off Vehicle Along Interstate 80, No Injuries Reported

State PoliceWASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) –DuBois-based State Police report no one was injured during a one-vehicle crash in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Police report the 2:02 a.m. August 12 crash occurred near mile marker 91.2 along Interstate 80 when a 2011 Honda CRV operated by Mark N. Shutts, 21, of Lousiville, Ky. was traveling east.

The vehicle’s front left wheel came off, causing its brake rotor to scrape on the ground.

Shutts was able to bring the vehicle to a controlled rest int eh right lane of travel which is blocked off for construction.

Shutts was wearing his seat belt and escaped injury.

His passenger, Jacob R. Holman, 21, of Louisville, Ky. was not wearing a seat belt and also escaped injury.
