Wilda N. Reitz, 95 formerly of Timblin, died on Saturday, March 30 at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville. She was born on January 14, 1918 in New Salem and daughter of John L. and Mabel M. (Wise) Reitz.
Wilda was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church and when she moved to Timblin, she attended the Life Fellowship Church. She worked for Rola Jensen.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Klingensmith of New Castle and Joan Yeager of Indianapolis, Indiana, a brother, Paul Reitz and his wife Joyce of Timblin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Magilda Troutman, Grace Reitz, Dora McConnell, and Helen Reitz, and five brothers; Willis, Clyde, James, Darrel, and Harold Reitz.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral will be on Friday, April 5 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor David Stonebreaker officiating. Interment will be in the New Salem Cemetery, Redbank Township, Armstrong County.
