William “Bill” Corbin, age 73, passed away on Saturday July 4, 2015, at his home in Brookville, PA.
He was born on December 8, 1941, in Roseville PA, to Arthur W. and Blanche (Dykes) Corbin. He married Sally Sue Swineford in Brookville PA, on July 22, 1961, she survives him.
He retired from being a press operator for Beverage Air in 2004, but he also worked for the Shawmut Railroad, and was a caretaker at Deemers Camp.
Bill and Sally were married for just under 54 years and had a very loving relationship. In his time off, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved to wrestle and pick on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He always was a pet owner with having more than one dog at a time. He liked to sit out on the patio and feed the birds or whatever wild life was in the back yard. He enjoyed going for rides through the country looking for deer and turkey. He always attended large family holiday dinners but above all else, he was a kind, loving father and grandpa. He was Sally’s true love and best friend; all shall surely miss him.
He is survived by his children Kelly Kraus and Daniel Saylor of Brookville, PA; Jeff Corbin of Brookville, PA; Debbie Corbin of Brookville, PA; his grandchildren, Nicole Robinson and Jason Long of Pataskala, OH; Blaine Kraus and Bobbi Lingenfelter of Knoxdale, PA; Airiana Corbin of Brockway, PA; his great-granchildren, Chase, Gage, Kallysta, Camile, Jazmin, and Alaina.
In addition to his parents, his sister, A. Joy Farraro, precedes him in death.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday July 7, 2015, from 6 – 8pm, at the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 8, 2015, beginning at 11am, at the McKinney Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Felt officiating.
Interment will take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Brookville Lions Club, PO Box 5, Brookville PA, 15825, to benefit the Cad Emery Fish for Fun Contest.
