William E. Barrett, 88, of Smicksburg, passed away on May 30, 2016 at the Back to Basics Personal Care Home – Dayton.
He was born on June 18, 1927 to Russell L. and Lucille Mae (Wadding) Barrett in Wayne Twp., PA. William was the Owner/Operator of Barrett Equipment.
He was a member of Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the Mariner Class, Young Farmers of Dayton and the National Farm and Power Equipment Dealers Association..
William is survived by his wife Jane Barrett; Son – Gerald W. (Angelia) Barrett of Smicksburg, PA; 3 Daughters – Nancy (Herb) Foote of Bethel Park, Jennifer (Robert) Barrett-Johnston of Sunbury, OH and Michelle (David) Peterson of Smicksburg; and 10 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; First Wife – Shirley Mae Barrett, whom died 1/24/2005; 3 Brothers – Russell, Edward and Richard Barrett; and sister – Maxine Bucko.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016, 2- 8 pm at Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church – Dayton.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016, 11:00 am at Church with Pastor Sheila Wadding, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Dayton Glade Run Cemetery.
