William P. Young

William P. Young, 77, of Grampian, passed away on Sunday November 7, 2021 at his home.

He was born July 25, 1944 to Jesse E. and Helen B. (Patterson) Young in Clearfield.

Bill worked for Hepburnia Coal Company for 25 years before retiring as Tipple Supervisor. He was also employed with Mahaffey Lab for many years.

He enjoyed car shows, watching baseball, teasing family and friends.

Most of all Bill loved his family, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, family picnics and get-togethers.

Bill is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Linda (Armagost) Young, Grampian; a son William J. Young and wife Sara, San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Tanis Snyder and husband Michael, Mahaffey; Janis Young and fiancé Don Martin, Grampian; eight grandchildren, Brandon Wagner and wife Janae; Taylor Brown and fiancé William Timmons; Daniel and Sydney Brown, Jackson and Madison Young, Rachel and Hannah Snyder, four great grandchildren, Lennon and Layne Wagner, Jaiden and Suzanna Timmons, and his “beautiful dog” Reck.

He is also survived by a sister, Doris Clapsaddle, Mahaffey, two Sisters-In-Law, Dorothy Morris, Woodland, and Nancy Young, Colorado, three special nieces that were additional daughters, Kristi Grant and sons, Tami and Mike Morehouse and Family and Kari and Brian Dimmick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Amy Shirey, Goldie Jones, three brothers, Richard, Edward and James Young, a nephew Jim Grant and two Fur babies, Eddie and Copper.

Friends will be received on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the Waldron Funeral Home, 831 Market Street, Mahaffey, PA 15757, with Pastor Bruce Dimmick officiating.
