William R. “Billy” Hall Sr.

Hall WilliamWilliam R. “Billy” Hall Sr., age 65, of West Hickory, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA surrounded by his family.

He was born December 7th, 1949 in Warren, PA, son of the late William and Mary (Blum) Hall.

He was a 1967 graduate of West Forest High School. Bill was a heavy equipment operator and was known to be one of the best operators by many. He was employed for 18 years by Penn Dot retiring in 1987. He also previously worked for Danella Inc. where he traveled the East Coast and fell in love with Maine. He also previously co-owned the Hickory Nut Inn in East Hickory, PA. In recent years Bill was a Harmony Twp. Supervisor and served as the township’s Roadmaster. Anyone who knew Bill knew of his talent in making the best homemade brandy.

He was a man of many talents and could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and loved his garden. Through the years many have enjoyed his “Chicken Cooking”. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends, and cherished his favorite dog Buddy.

He is survived by two sons, Tim Prelog and his wife Kari, Bill “Buster” Hall and his wife Lisa, and a daughter Karlissa Snell, all of West Hickory. Three grandchildren, Alysha Clark and her husband Tyler of Tionesta, PA, Jessica and Dylon Snell both of West Hickory. Two great-grandchildren. Six sisters, Rachel Watson of Tidioute, PA, Cindy Beichner and her husband Tim of Fryburg, PA, Tonya Hall of West Hickory, Kit Hall of East Hickory, Pippa Hall of Tidioute, and Fawn Meyers and her husband Jeff of Clarion. Many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly (Hall) Sanner, a daughter, Gina Prelog.

There will be no public visitation. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Bill’s life as a social gathering on Sunday, October 18, 2015 starting at 2 PM at the West Hickory Community Building 95 Center St. West Hickory, PA 16370.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Hickory Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 8 West Hickory, PA 16370.
